To all those who read my blog regularly but don’t keep up on national news… I just have a few things to say about Ted Haggard.
Now, I’m in the middle of processing my feeling/thoughts on this whole issue, but my initial response looks something like this: honestly?
it’s late, i’m tired (and sick). i gotta work in the morning. it’ll be a sunday- a sunday where Ted Haggard won’t be preaching at his gargantuous church he led because the church just gave him a loving boot out the door.
i’m a little sarcastic and cynical about this whole thing (as you well may be able to tell). i think this is an indicator of greater problems within the Protestant Christian community. i also think protestants are behaving more like catholics than they would like to admit. i also think ted better just come right out and admit to every little detail in one fell swoop because little leaks of admission is hurting so much worse. and there’s a chance somebody’s out to get him. fine. that line needs to be drawn quickly.
the larger question is: will everything he taught and worked towards be lost? will this incident undermine all principals taught by him?
yeah, this whole incident has and will continue to bug me. i had one more thought to put here, but it looks like i’m fresh out.
am looking for any and all responses relating to this.
